Michel Fortin Contemporary Wood Carvings

We are honored and excited to be associated with Michel Fortin. We believe him to be one of Quebec’s finest living folk artists.  His works are carved in the traditional way—all parts hand carved in pine, all dowelled and pegged and covered with vivid and authentic antique surfaces. There is this wonderful quality of folk lore to his work. One gets the feeling that each carving reaches back to Quebec antiquity. Each piece is signed by the carver and aside from the aesthetic value, may well prove to be an excellent investment.
